Not to be confused with "man's best friend", Slogs are fierce guard dogs that will devour anything in their path. They can however be a "slog's Best Friend". Slogs will only obey Sligs, who can command them to attack.

Although smaller than their adult counterparts, Sloggies are just as fierce and kill just as quickly. Often found in litters of puppies, Sloggies will take every opportunity they can to get their mouths on your bones!

Slogs also have a tendency to bark... a lot and love meat, bones or both, especially when fresh! Abe's Oddysee/Exoddus: If you sneak past sleeping Slogs they will not harm you. However, run as fast as you can to get away from awake Slogs. Throw bones or meat to Slogs in order to walk past them. Use possessed Sligs to control Slogs and to get them to attack other Sligs. Also use Sligs to shoot Slogs coming out of a Slog hut.
