A very spiritual race, Mudokons have become exploited by greedy Glukkons who
use them for slaves and also attempted to use them for a meat product. The
natives of Mudos, Oddworld were at one stage the dominant race.
Mudokons are at one with nature and use and nurture natural resources. They do
not like the destruction the Glukkons are doing to the land. Mudokons will often
grow back trees that have been cut down, and will use spiritual powers to help
the land.
Mudokons have the ability to possess creatures and control weather through
chanting. However, apart from Abe, who has been given powers by the Spirits,
Mudokons usually require a group effort to use their chanting powers. Mudokons
see a special significance in the Moon, which has the shape of a Mudokon
paw/hand print on it's face.
Captured Mudokons work as slaves for the Magog Cartel (however Abe is continuing
his mission to rescue them), while native Mudokons still enjoy the spiritual and
ancient ways of their race. Mudokons can be seen wearing a loin cloth which is
significant of their culture.
Game Tips
Abe's Oddysee/Exoddus: For most of the game you control Abe, a Mudokon.
Get used to Abe's moves and gamespeak abilities. Make use of sneaking and
rolling capabilities. When rescuing Mudokons, be sure to be aware of where they
are going and who else is around. The abilities of both Abe and other Mudokons
differs in Exoddus from Oddysee.
Munch's Oddysee: Teamwork is the key! Use groups of Mudokons to get tasks
done such as opening doors and helping the environment. However, leading
Mudokons as a group is not always the best way, make use of Abe's ability to
carry Mudokons to get around some situations.
