Elums can be called Oddworld's version of a mule... well, a rather strange mule at that! Or maybe they are a cross between a mule and a camel. They are used by Mudokons as a form of transport.

Elums are a friendly animal who will usually help out Mudokons in need. Except when they are pre-occupied with eating honey. Honey is an Elum's love, and once they find some, it can be hard to get them away!

When Elum isn't eating or helping Abe out, then he's happy to just stand around and scratch the flies and bellow every so often.

Elum can also be a bit of a "pain" in the rear end to get on and off! Abe's Oddysee: Elum is helpful for jumping large chasms and helping Abe avoid those nasty bees. Ring the Elum bell to call him first. Be sure to keep Elum within "gettable" distance until he is no longer needed.
