In Munch's Oddysee we were introduced to another unlikely hero in the Oddworld
quintology, namely Munch.
Munch is a Gabbit. In fact he is the last of his species. Under the instruction
of the Almighty Raisin, Abe must go to Vykkers Labs and rescue Munch who has
been captured by the Vykkers. However Munch is on an escape mission himself. One
that involves saving the Fuzzles from being laboratory testing creatures.
By a twist of fate, Abe and Munch meet up before Abe even gets into Vykkers labs.
From here the epic journey begins.
Ultimately leading the pair to travel back to Vykkers labs to save Abe's unborn
brothers, and to attempt to retrieve the last known can of Gabbiar in existence.
Needed to continue survival of Munch's race.
Gameplay
Munch's Oddysee will introduce a whole new concept of gameplay to Oddworld,
while still not forgetting the roots of the Oddworld series. Set in the
3-dimensional environment, we are faced with new challenges and new
environments.
Just like Abe can possess native creatures and use them to his advantage, Munch
also has a power of his own. The ability to control electronic equipment. This
helps make his (and Abe's) mission easier along the way.
Just like the first two games, Abe must continue to free his enslaved brothers.
Munch on the other hand will attempt to free Fuzzles, cute but not always
friendly little creatures. Add into that the ability to possess Glukkons and
force them to donate their "moolah" to the Lulu fund.
Munch's Oddysee brings together many elements of game play. It is a game that
many will enjoy, giving the game player a chance to use their puzzle solving
skills. Also keeping the Oddworld humor in place, but not forgetting to convey a
message like Oddworld does.
Munch's Oddysee is available as an Xbox exclusive title.
