• Look for SoulStorm Brew bottles laying on the the ground. These usually indicate that there is a hidden area on the screen.
• See if you can go down ledges or behind rocks and barrels. Sometimes there are hidden areas behind these.
• Rescue at least 150 Mudokons for the good ending.
• Make good use of shadows. They will be helpful in sneaking past sleeping Sligs.
• Learn your Gamespeak! There are a number of times where you will have to use one gamespeak word quickly after another (like to ensure a Mudokon doesn't walk into a drill!). If you know the correct buttons/keys to click, this will be of an advantage.
• When you see a number in a bird portal, rescue this number of Mudokons to gain Shrykull power. It's possible to get past certain screens without Shrykull, but it is very difficult.
• Paramites and Scrabs can sometimes be your friend: possess these creatures and use them to your advantage.
• Listen carefully to Slig voice lock puzzles and to the UXB bombs ticking.
• Take the time to figure out a problem. Often you will not get it first time, so keep trying and you should eventually figure it out.
• Most importantly... make use of Quicksave!!!
