Just when Abe thought that his job was done, he gets thrown back into things once again! At a celebration held in Abe's honor after rescuing 99 Mudokons from Rupture Farms, Abe falls and hits his head. The spirits visit Abe once again and tell him that the Glukkons are mining the bones of dead Mudokons. Abe's next quest is to put an end to this.

Abe and five friends set out across the desert for Necrum. Just when some of them were starting to get very restless a train rushes past overhead, dropping a Mudokon bone on it's way past (co-incidence or what?). Abe realizes this is what they are looking for and they follow the track all the way to Necrum Mines.

Thus, Abe's second quest begins. Abe is instantly departed from his friends when he slips of a ledge. He soon meets up with them again, but by then it is too late. They have found a SoulStorm brew machine and after being thirsty from all that walking, Abe's friends find nothing wrong in having a drink. But for a Mudokon, one drink is too much and more drinks are never enough.

So Abe must travel to Necrum where he can gain the power to heal his friends. Through the ancient Mudomo and Mundachee Vaults Abe must travel and free the Mudokon Spirits that are trapped there, in some cases gaining invincibility power. Only then will Abe find a healer Mudokon which will help him heal his sick (or is that drunk) friends.

Abe's quest continues through FeeCo Depot, Slig Barracks and Bonewerkz where he must gain control of the Glukkon leaders in order to open the gates to SoulStorm Brewery

But SoulStorm Brewery reveals yet another secret - not only are dead Mudokon bones being used, but Mudokons are being tortured for their tears as the secret ingredient of the brew. Abe must make his way to the boiler and blow up SoulStorm Brewery once and for all!
